Scarborough - Donald H. Silke, 90, passed away on March 6, 2025, in Scarborough. Don was born on October 16, 1934, in Portland, son of the late John and Doris (Anderson) Silke. Don grew up in Portland and was a proud graduate of Portland High School, Class of 1952. He went on to attend Maine Maritime Academy, earning his degree in 1955. Shortly after, Don embarked on a career as a merchant marine, sailing from 1955 to 1958. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Joyce Ann Heroux. Joel graduated from St. George High School in Tenants Harbor in 1961. Shortly after, he joined the Air Force, where he proudly served for 28 years before retiring in 2000. She was the daughter of the late Frank J. Naples and Margaret Mary (Locke) Naples. Raised and early educated on Munjoy Hill, she graduated from Cathedral High School, Class of 1951. Following high school Mary Jane began her working career at New England Telephone Company. The youngest born to James and Elsie Caselden, Cathy grew up on Cole St. in South Portland and was a 1969 graduate of SPHS and later a graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She had a long and successful career at Maine Medical Center, working on several patient care floors before transitioning to the Maternal-Fetal-Medicine program. Admarie was born on December 20, 1942 in Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Siline (Beauchamps) Petit. Admarie was a beloved and strong woman. She was born at home in North Yarmouth, Maine on October 15, 1951, to Kenneth and Dorothy Linsenmeyer Kelley. WESTBROOK - Stephen “Steve” L. Perry, 74, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Westbrook. Steve was born on July 10, 1950, in Rumford, Maine, the son of the late Owen and Marjorie (Law) Perry. He graduated from Cheverus High School in 1968 and attended USM. After working for several years as a carpenter in Portland for the RAM company, and later for the Maine Medical Center engineering department, Steve moved to Bethel to be near the skiing areas in Maine and New Hampshire.
