2019 marks the 19th year of the Conroy-Tully Walker candlelight service of remembrance. Each year, we hold this interfaith service to provide an opportunity for community members to remember and honor loved ones that have passed away during the year.
This year’s service will be held on Sunday, December 8th, at 1:00 PM, at Holy Cross Church in South Portland.
We welcome all, whether your loved one’s services were arranged through Conroy-Tully Walker or with another funeral home. Though the service is held at Holy Cross Church, it is interfaith and open to people of all faiths and customs.
The candlelight vigil is about coming together and finding hope among others who are also dealing with a recent loss. It is about honoring your loved one’s life, and recognizing that though they are gone, their memory and legacy lives on in those they have left behind.
Amid the bustle of the holiday season, it is important to take some time to quietly reflect, especially if you are grieving. The holidays can be incredibly difficult when you have recently lost a loved one, and it is our hope that the candlelight service can offer you and your family a measure of solace.
