Our nation’s military veterans deserve our appreciation and gratitude throughout their lives, but they also deserve to be honored and recognized upon their passing. They have given much for our country, dedicating years of their lives to protect us and our freedoms. The families of veterans also give up much, missing time with their loved one and worrying about them while they are away serving.
At Conroy-Tully Walker, we want to ensure that every veteran and every veteran’s family has the easiest path possible to obtaining honors for the veteran and benefits for the family. When a veteran passes away, they may be eligible for stone or bronze markers or bronze medallions to acknowledge their service. Most cemeteries, even local ones, allow for such VA markers. The Conroy-Tully Walker team can help the family work through the request process, tracking down paperwork to help secure these honors. Similarly, we will help with the request process for military honors to be included as part of a funeral service so that a veteran’s remembrance ceremony can properly reflect the sacrifices he or she made for our nation.
For family members who are left behind after their loved one passes, there is always too much to do, especially when grieving.
We can help veterans’ families determine what benefits they may be eligible for, such as a death or burial benefit. We can help families with these applications, assisting with the navigation of the bureaucracy and easing some of the burden from grieving families. If your loved one is a veteran, and you are eligible for benefits, dealing with complicated paperwork should not be something you have to shoulder as you deal with the loss.
Our veterans deserve the highest respect, and at Conroy-Tully Walker we strive to do all that we can to ensure they and their families are taken care of.
